Introducing… Broker Emily Austin

Emily Austin is a Seattle area Real Estate broker and founding member of the Austin & Martin Broker Team. Emily joined Metropolist in 2016. She is an excellent planner and organizer and is often part of the behind-the-scenes project management for many of the Metropolist activities.

She is an avid Runner and really enjoys getting to know neighborhoods on foot

Emily loves taking her golden retriever Violet to visit local senior communities
She has been an active board member at the Senior Center of West Seattle since 2022
Emily is the youngest of 8 children (7 girls and 1 boy)

Emily once jumped out of an airplane in Carmel, CA
Spends her free time running, meeting friends for coffee, and gardening

Emily’s area of expertise in Real Estate is working with Seniors, which she loves. She has acquired of designation of Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®). This designation is for REALTORS® who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing clients when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. She earned the SRES® designation and is prepared to approach mature clients with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions.

Emily said, “I knew as early as childhood that I had a passion for seniors believing they are so wise and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.”

Not only is Emily committed to helping seniors find solutions to their unique housing needs, but she is also active in the local Senior community. At the Senior Center of West Seattle, Emily has been volunteering her time since 2022. Currently, she is serving in several roles, participating as a member on the Board of Directors, the Equity and Inclusion Committee, and the Ambassador Committee to help fundraising and event promotions. Emily has become connected to the beauty of the Puget Sound area. As an avid runner she enjoys the South and Southwest neighborhoods of the Sound, as she has spent so much time running in them.

She said “The green! Everywhere I look it’s so green. I love running in Seahurst Park in Burien because it is so lush.”

She also loves admiring the mid-century homes in our area as they remind her of her childhood home. Mid-century modern homes are her favorite style of home design.
