I'M A METROPOLIST BECAUSE…

“Life is a team sport and we believe it is important to surround ourselves with the very best people.”
We have each owned successful businesses and built careers in service oriented industries. Our respective strengths combine to give buyers and sellers a fantastic and well-rounded package.
Prior to joining Metropolist in 2016, Emily spent most of her working life in the beauty industry as a salon owner, stylist and educator, allowing her to develop unbeatable people skills. She worked with many of her clients for more than 25 years, building deep and often multigenerational relationships.
In addition to his work at Metropolist, Eric owns a successful and highly respected alternative medicine clinic in downtown Seattle. Previously he spent considerable time in corporate development roles in the technology sector including time with Intel. Eric is the transactional guy and a bit of a contracts wonk. He will make sure you understand what you are agreeing to and that your interests are well represented at the negotiation table.
We enjoy all the things the PNW has to offer. We spend our winters snowboarding and summers hiking through the great outdoors. Emily is an avid runner and has gotten to know many neighborhoods at the “speed of foot”. Eric has lived in Seattle since 1993 and seen many housing cycles. Most recently we lived in West Seattle (6 years) and have called Burien home since 2017. We love the “beach in the city” feel that makes these communities so popular. We have no children, so we spend too much time doting over our miniature schnauzer (Frankie) and golden retriever (Violet).
Why Austin & Martin
You will likely choose us if you’re looking for a trusted guidance throughout the buying and/or selling process. We are service oriented, hardworking and committed to giving our clients the information they need to be successful. We enjoy working with first time buyers, buyers relocating to Seattle either for work or to be near family, and empty nesters who are ready (or needing) to downsize. Oh, and bonus points if you are “dog people”.
We knew we wanted to work somewhere with heart. The stodgy, “old boys” network type of brokerage did not appeal to us at all. At Metropolist we found kindred spirits. A brokerage with heart and generosity not often found in the real estate community. Metropolist gives back to the community and cares about the same issues we do. When you factor in the abundant, first-class training and broker support, the choice for us was easy. We are Metropolist.
